Maremako is an audiovisual and film production company founded in 2021 by Muriel Sauzay and Agnès Mentré.

Muriel Sauzay has more than 20 years of experience in film sales, acquisitions and feature film production. She spent nine years at Studio Canal and eleven years at Pathé, where she served as Deputy Managing Director in charge of international operations.

She is also known for having produced several successful films, including three films by Paolo Sorrentino, among them La Grande Belleza (2013), which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

She has also worked on comedies such as Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis (2008) and Supercondriaque, as well as numerous British productions including Slumdog Millionaire by Dany Boyle (2008), winner of eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Philomena by Stephen Frears, La Dame de Fer by Phyllida Lloyd (2011), Selma by Ava Du Vernay (2014), nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2015, and Bright Star by Jane Campion (2009).

In 2021, she founded the production company Maremako with Agnès Mentré. She was associate producer on Le Nouveau Jouet (2022), the Prime series Salade Grecque (2023), and the film Le Choix (2024).

In addition to its film and audiovisual production activities, Maremako is an IP centric company specializing in the acquisition, development and international exploitation of intellectual property across multiple forms of media. The company scouts and acquires promising IP including films, TV series, books, formats and personalities, with strong adaptation and remake potential. Maremako develops these rights for the French market while also representing and exporting a growing library of IP internationally, connecting rights holders and producers with partners worldwide to create new adaptations, remakes and formats.
